Metal supergroup Bad Wolves are having one hell of a year, having been announced earlier today as support for Five Finger Death Punch and Megadeth on their upcoming Megadeathpunch tour. Now, the band have unveiled an intense new performance video for their new track I’ll Be There.
Watch the video below:
Released last month, I’ll Be There is the lead single for their upcoming album N.A.T.I.O.N., for which, by January, they had already written 21 songs. Discussing the new album, vocalist Tommy Vext told HardDrive Radio, “Gutars and bass were tracked in [Las] Vegas with Max Karon, who is one of John’s [Boecklin, drums] oldest friends, who also works for Ghost. And then we did production and vocals in L.A., at Sparrow Sound studio, with Joseph McQueen, who, his partner is Josh Gilbert from As I Lay Dying. He did all the vocals on the first Bad Wolves record. And then John flew to Nashville and did drums with Mark Lewis. So we went to all our favorite places to deal with each instrument accordingly.”
Tommy also mentioned that the band is working on another cover to follow up their iconic viral rendition of The Cranberries’ 1993 classic Zombie.
In an insane interview with Kerrang!, Tommy spoke about the time he had to testify against his twin brother who tried to kill him. When we asked how he processed the situation, the frontman said, “It’s something that I’ve had time to process and make healthy decisions around. Doing one-on-one and group therapy and kind of dealing with PTSD from that situation I think I kinda reopened some childhood traumas too, which I worked through. I actually have started working in recovery and working as a solo coach and helping other people to get sober and deal with their issues since then. So ultimately, I think there was kind of a silver lining in going through that.”
