Full Album Stream: Obsequiae – “The Palms of Sorrowed Kings”

Knights of the castle-metal realm, assemble! Mount your stallions! Draw your swords! Ride out to glory on the backs of the excellent new Obsequiae album: The Palms of Sorrowed Kings. After an serene and fitting medieval harp-driven intro from Vicente La Camera Mariño, the glory kicks in with “Ceres In Emerald Streams,” possible one of the most fun black metal songs ever recorded. Other highlights include riff fests like “In the Garden of Hyacinths” and “Asleep in the Bracken,” along with the entrancing grandeur of the album’s title track.

The Palms of Sorrowed Kings comes out this Friday via 20 Buck Spin, but you can listen to the whole thing below. Also, don’t forget to check out the latest issue of Decibel, where we feature the album as one of our best of 2019!
