Track Premiere: Ateiggär – ‘En Blinde namens Duracotus’

Today marks the debut of Ateiggär, a black metal duo operating out of Zürich. Their first release Us d‘r Höll chunnt nume Zyt counts five tracks of second wave-influenced black metal mysticism.

Comprised of malchemists Fauth Temenkeel and Fauth Lantav, Ateiggär belong to that Swiss black metal circle, the Helvetic Underground Committee, but stand out as novel, even in that bizarre company. Us d‘r Höll chunnt nume Zyt, recorded by Fauth Temenkeel, comes out November 15th on cassette and 12” vinyl from Eisenwald Tonschmiede.

It’s our privilege to host this premiere of the penultimate song from Ateiggär’s incredible debut.

“‘Us d’r Höll chunnt nume Zyt’ is about the limited time human beings have on this earth to reach the state of a higher being and to become one with god,” says the band. “The only way to overcome the hell of time is this Unio Mystica. At the same time the lyrics  revolve around the topic of the ‘Anima Mundi’ and the thought that there is no loving God at all since God is present in everything. The piece introduces the idea of Giordano Bruno (1548-1600) that time is essentially infinite, hence the concept of a divine judgement day becomes obsolete.”
