USBM icons Profanatica join the roster of Season of Mist. It marks the winding up of their over-a-decade tenure with Hells Headbangers Records. The impending full-length will drop later this year.
“We are more than happy to be picked up by Season Of Mist, and will continue to play unholy black metal in the same style as always,” remarks Profanatica on the signing.
With their repellent sonic power, intense profane imagery and bizarre stage presentation, Profanatica played a pivotal role in developing the ’90s US black metal scene. The group was formed in 1990 in NY when Aragon Amori, Paul Ledney, and Brett Makowski left Incantation due to artistic differences. Upon their rebirth in 2001, Profanatica have been crushing the doors of heaven under the command of Paul Ledney.
